There probably isn't a connection. But the problem with this stuff is, even if you find a valid correlation that no-one else thought of then the rest of the world will still think you're crazy. That's when it can be a real money maker. And you don't need an explanation. All you need is a correlation. So who am I to criticize Sly? People can believe what they want to believe. Of course if he is serious about this then he needs to test it. But I don't think it is helpful because both variables only went down it seems.
Given my history, I just prefer to keep an open mind about this. The more absurd, the more value :-) If it's valid.
