I use TDA's Strategy Desk for my screener/watchlist needs.

While I'm sure it's not the absolute best service out there, it does suit my own needs quite well. I'm able to watch the volume and % changes on up to 3000 stocks at a time, though I presently only have about 1700 in it.

Unlike some pro's, I don't screen for technicals though, such as stocks moving above the 10 avg vol, or above the 50ma (50 day moving avg).

I only operate with 1-46" screen and there's only so much you can fit on 1 screen. Those who use multiple screens will usually have one open simply for their technicals screener.

Technical screeners are excellent tools, but if you're just starting out, master watching a simple watchlist first. I find by watching volumes alone, I can see what's moving and what's not. No sense in watching a stock that may be up 200% but on low volume.

Also, learn charts, even if only the basics. Charting is by far more important, to begin with, than technical screeners.
