Machine trading pushing things around?
Could some of what we are seeing here be machine trading?
The reason I ask, is that while there was some news released at each swing, I just find it hard to believe that the news each time would have such an effect on the stock price; especially with the dramatic turn a few days ago when the stock stopped dropping in mid session and started marching higher. EVA did a little blog posting but others had already posted about the rule changes for the provisional application. Those other postings seemed to have had no effect. (Or does EVA have that much of a following, with the money behind it, that when EVA speaks, stocks move?)
Again, even without the message boards, like here, I still think the stock would have gone its 'roller coaster ride' but there seems to be no rhyme or reason for it.
While I was glad to get cheaper shares, there is always the nagging worry that you are missing the big issue for stock and should be getting out, instead of buying more.
