At this point, think of the shorts playing a 'Ponzi-Scheme' with each other. (ie. one short flips his position onto another short and so-forth and so-on.) They do this is order to 'Buy Time.' If - this/these company(ies) and their pps perform well, they will be doing so at higher and higher prices, until............... the last short holding match gets burned. Well, actually more like torched!
