These words spoken by baseball Hall-Of-Fame catcher Gary Carter in an interview after a game in which with his hurting and aching knees ran the bases at a critical time to help his New York Mets win the game. He was asked after the game how he ran so hard with all the pain his knees must of been in. Carter replied: "Sometimes you just have to play the pain".
This simple statement was quoted in the WSJ the next day and inspired millions during a depressed time in the markets in the late 1980's. The depressed writer Andrew Klavan spoke how the words encouraged and helped him out of his own depression. He declared: "I Can Do That".
