say "thanks for the compliment", but I know you don`t like me saying that, so I won`t :>) ... and, yes, I`m aware that I`m not accomplishing much here.
I know you`ve been watching the SCP, and what a series, eh ??
Just got to ask you, are you a channel switcher during commercials like I am ?? If you are, you may have missed the new Windows add ...
New Microsoft 'Windows Everywhere' ad crosses product boundaries
If you play the commercial you`ll see a big Bing tile and here the man say, "Add the only search engine that allows you to ask your friends on Facebook".
This is definetley the new Windows ... "Windows: One experience. On every device. For everything in your life."
If a Facebook user on his mobile device wants to search for relevant mobile apps on the global internet and be provided with recommendations, I wonder if Bing is capable of doing that or if they know someone who can help them do it ... just something to think about, I guess.
I was thinking Mimvi was looking to hire engineers with experience in voice recognition, but I don`t know if they ever found any. Just thinking out loud again.
Build 2013 | June 26-28, 2013 | Moscone Center, San Francisco
"We’re only a bit more than seven months into this new, bold approach to computing. The response to Windows 8 has been substantial— from new devices to strong app growth to key enhancements to the OS and apps. We’ve learned from customers on how they are using the product and have received a lot of feedback. We’ve deliveredhundreds of updates to the product and to apps. We’re just getting started, and the potential ahead is tremendous."
This will be a preview of Windows 8.1 and the many improvements that they`re making. This if probably considered fast in Microsoft time, and that`s the time I think Mimvi is on, whether we like it, or not.
I`m hoping we`ll have some news after the Build at the end of this month ... I`ll admit I was disappointed that the Windows Mobile Platform App launch date scheduled for the 7-4-13 was removed from the Blog, but I`m wondering if Mimvi was even more disappointed. I think they were looking forward to announcing the launch, particularly on the 4th of July!
As far as the Mimvi Blog goes, I wouldn`t care if they removed all the posts ... well, except for, "Mimvi Mobile Search Redefines Context" ... the only post really worth reading, and even re-reading from time to time, at least in my opinion, anyway.
Hope I didn`t bore you ... I guess I have a tendency to do that with all my lengthy posts !!
Take care, my friend, and keep `um straight on YMB ... still rootin` for the Blackhawks, but I know you understand ... man, what a series !!
