#231 RE: Wildbilly #230

Behind my new house is a field, eventually it is supposed to be a communal garden, whatever the hell that is. Anyway, last august they planted a bunch of trees and shrubs and stuff. Looked real nice, probably cost several thousand dollars.

No one bothered to take care of anything after that and the weeds were taller than me a couple weeks ago. Enter the weed cutting guy. I suppose it wasn't really his fault, how could he have known there were trees and shrubs below the 5-6 foot weeds.

So he cut down everything in his path.

I had to go to city hall on another matter the day after the destruction and mentioned, by the way, your gardener wiped out all trees, shrubs, hedges, plants etc in the field behind my house, if he could roll over it with his tractor and cut it, he did.

I think it"s the first time I've ever seen someone's jaw drop.

Told her, hey, I don't really care one way or the other, it's the countryside, but I think the town paid a bit of money for those plants, and had I known they were going to be destroyed I would have uprooted a few and planted them in my garden.
