99 OUT OF 100 regular old honest Americans would say that the stockholders are (SUPPOSED TO BE) the most important people in a company. If nobody bought stock.. 90% of American companies would not exist. Why doesn't it work that way? Why do "they" often get away with obliterating the stock? Because "they" can. Just about the only time most Americans find out that their stock can be stolen from them is when their company goes bankrupt. Pete: "Hey my company is out of BK! BUT WHERE IS MY STOCK THAT I BOUGHT AND PAID FOR?" Broker: "Sorry Pete, the courts and company hqtrs told us to throw you stock in the garbage can."
