I understand what you are saying RRdog re: the risk to market, the time to market...and competitive drugs fighting for the same indication..etc.

I do get that, though just was saying the "SOC" (no matter what drug takes that spot) is worth I'll just say a lot and I just see many other companies "surge" in anticipation of that SOC thats around the corner. Peregrine has not surged one bit... which is the reason it can be frustrating. I hope the days of idle pricing are soon coming to an end.

I hope Bavi is that SOC for NSCLC and we can soon find out...

Criticize me whenever you want as well.. : ) I have learned much here from you and many others and trust me, I don't think I know it all... but I do know I am not selling my shares of PPHM.

Bio and RRDog, I am glad I passed that ball into the field :)

But for what it is worth, it shows how difficult a discussion/negotiation between PPHM and a potential partner will be!

PPHM will kind of see the sky and approach the problem as if they get all the market and as if whiteout them nothing happens.

The partner will say, yes could well be but you cannot guarantee that!

And franckly, since RRDog brought up the risk factor, if I were a potential partner I would ask PPHM that they can guarantee that, even if we follow Bio's becoming SOC scenario, they can guarantee that the Bavi including SOC will not be beaten soon after!

I guess a partner will not write down pre-payments, milestones etc in one year of sales. they'll pay licenses and will spread the upfront costs. So yes high risk out of that corner too and it would be normal that it reflects in the partnership prices (downwards unless PPHM gives the guarantees or pre-payment shifted to longer term milestone such as "as long as this is the SOC").

I would like to be a fly on the wall to have a glimpse of how they negotiate this and who says what at that table. That would be a learning experience!
