This is a hoax. Only Intel is able to do strained silicon and/or fully depleted SOI, just ask some of the Intel supporters...

Actually these presentations have nothing to do with current, or maybe even future products. Now the interesting thing is that, IIRC, AMD doesn't generally present at the VLSI Symposium. Which probably means they have a great deal of confidence in their R&D direction.
