The 20/400 to 20/40 was for a "younger" person whose Bruch Membrane was healthier than the typical +70 yr old. Therefore the odds are much higher for the 20/200, 20/100, 20/70 and 20/50 to dramatically improve vision. The RPEs are NOT a "bulb" replacement in an "old" flashlight but rather an "intelligent" new circuitry. It is just the beginning as to what the new RPEs will do.
