Another way might be to trade a synthetic long stock i.e. buy a at the money call and sell a at the money put.

With SLW currently at $24.01 for instance, selling the Jan 2014 $24 Put ($3.30 bid) nigh on covers the cost of buying the Jan 2014 $24 Call ($3.35 ask).
