point taken, there are some who would believe that washington want's to do away with fannie/freddie/sallie. seriuosly ? they are a cash cow for all invalved. this economy is just startting to move to the positive side of thing's so why in the world would washington want to strike a blow to it by doing away with F-n-F. I mean just think how hard it would be to get a loan with out government backing by fannie. of course i could be wrong.
