Wow! This year Intel is spending 7x $$ on research compared to Qualcomm. (according to the article).

It also looks like Intel spends about 50x relative to ARMH. Of course we'd have to add in the research done by ARM licensees and manufacturing facilities. But quite likely, Intel still outspends them on research. So I hope this starts to pay off.
