Not on that particular trade; I suppose the TZA would have punished me through the trade, but possibly at least I could have held for the eventual profit.

If I have time this weekend I'll try to find the records for that trade. I don' know how long Ameritrade keeps the records, and I doubt if I have a paper copy. But I know my tax records will show the trade entry and exit prices and dates.

I was interested in taking advantage of the decay factor inherent in all the 3x scams. I learned that only the inside camp is allowed. They make the rules and then they change them in the middle of the game. I would like to know how many traders actually make any money over the long haul trading 3x ETFs.

Only the inside camp knows. The brokerage houses see our accounts.
