I don't think that Broadwell/Skylake will offer enough GPU performance to kill dGPU. On the contrary, these higher res displays will drive more need for GPU performance, and gamers will be willing to lap up any and all GPU horsepower Nvidia throws their way (nobody uses AMD on laptops, since Nvidia scores nearly all of the Intel platforms).

The discrete card kill threshold for Haswell is far closer
to $100 than $1000.
