#2346 RE: moneyloss #2084

Starting to be confirmed that this has everything to do with Gsat. A few of us have thought vowifi but your post is 4+ months old.The gsat attorneys have contacted the Fcc staff a few times and must now report what was said in detail because the tlps nprm is on circulation.

Yesterday they released the details of the latest coversation, below a portion of the filing.The gsat attorneys use the term "partners" and "better Voice over Internet Protocol functionality". There's no more mystery,imo.

This also would explain yesterdays turnaround after 2:30.
========================
The proposed terrestrial-use reforms will benefit consumers, increase investment and
innovation, and lead to more intensive use of spectrum. Globalstar’s proposed terrestrial low
power service (“TLPS”) will quickly add 22 megahertz to the nation’s wireless broadband
spectrum inventory and ease the congestion of Wi-Fi service at high-traffic 802.11 hotspots and
other locations. By deploying additional 802.11-based capacity at 2.4 GHz, Globalstar and
future terrestrial partners will be able to provide consumers with improved wireless broadband
service, including faster data speeds and better Voice over Internet Protocol functionality. TLPS
deployments will also deliver meaningful public safety benefits, since still-operating 802.11-
based hotspots can provide broadband and voice communications to citizens who otherwise lack
access to communications services during disasters.

Re: None Post # of 2346

I know this really doesn't relate to GSAT but I have to say, the potential for their wifi is endless. I hope they don't get to narrow minded about their network and technology possibilities. Check this place out, http://www.republicwireless.com/. If Globalstar were able to get the right partner they could blow the cellular market wide open. A cell phone that runs on wifi as the primary and satellite/wifi secondary? Sorry all, I'm done, I'll go back to sleep now.
