It's not naive -- it's reality. BP is smart enough to know it's a pedestrian that isn't dumb enough to play a game of chicken with a MAC truck. BP needs the USA about 1000000 times more than the USA needs BP.
This is why BP is bending over and taking it, other than whining. They don't have a choice. And the settlement ends April 22, 2014. How's dem "chicken" threats coming? They're not. 11 months and a tidal wave of financial damage accelerating to BP, and if they were going to "play chicken" they would have to get the tarball rolling already. They ain't got the time.
Obviously they ain't interested in your idea even remotely.
