“In 2005, AMD invested $4.3 million in cash contributions globally, proudly working with organizations like the Basic Needs Coalition of Central Texas that are committed to strengthening the community and helping others succeed.”
I may have missed some but it looks like the easiest to track portions related to hurricane victims are $100,000 + 400 PICs + staff and other random infrastructure.
In the process of looking for that I found donations to Taiwan for earthquake research, donations to Police departments, etcetera. It appears that AMD tends to donate frequently and with variety.
In Austin, where the company employs more than 3,000 employees, AMD donated more than $800,000 to the local community in 2005. Recipient organizations in Austin include Austin’s People's Community Clinic, Meals on Wheels and More, Capital Area Food Bank, Family Eldercare, University of Texas College of Education, St. Edwards University, and Girlstart. In addition, AMD employees have volunteered more than 1,800 hours in Austin through company sponsored volunteer events and donated 534 pints of blood during on-campus blood drives.
