Even at their highest revs they lost money because they had too much overhead, and not enough production. The Indiana facility is capable of generating $10,000,000 of product per month. So even the best year they only utilized 1/6 of the capacity. It's all about cost per unit of production...economy of scale. Cereplast would probably need to use 30% of capacity to generate positive numbers.
