Dell, Suppliers Told to Pay Convolve $5.4 Million in Patent Case By Susan Decker - Jul 27, 2011 11:53 AM ET
Dell Inc. (DELL), the world’s second- largest personal computer maker, and two suppliers were told to pay $5.4 million to closely held Convolve Inc. after a jury found they infringed a patent related to hard-disk drives.
Neil Singer = AC Kinetics = Convolve.
Makes things interesting. They certainly don't need our 500k for 3% of their company.
Hurricaneman, I hope they will address induction charging
Which,as many of us know is extremely inefficient and keeps the "Eco" from being Eco.
But it appears AC Kinetics is going much further than that with a focus on new (more efficient?) new products. This would seem to also address my concerns that they Capstone lacked sufficient engineering expertise to get the most bang for the buck from new products because of a lack of technical oversight.
Sounds good to me if they can avoid going much deeper into debt while developing some really innovative new products
I think we need to be careful here with lumping projections for revenue in with new product introductions. In the past two conference calls it was said that the time it takes to start a product to getting it on the shelf is upwards of 18 months. I doubt anything that AC Kinectics is working on would be sold this year. But I am willing to be wrong. Please surprise me! :)
