#34325 RE: ive been had #34323

My aunt has Lyme disease and it is not good at all. She has rashes, hard time walking at times and like u said memory issues. It's weird cause she will be ok for a while then really bad.

Hope you find someone that can help. They way I understand it, it can get worse over time even affecting major organs and the nervous system.

Appreciate your service as well!!!

IBH--I have Lyme Disease and have had it twice in the past. We've also had 3 dogs that have contracted it. We spend a lot of time in the woods, and deer ticks are all over the place.

I assume that you're on a regimen of doxycycline or amoxicillin. Although doctors often suggest only a two week period of meds, I think 3 or 4 weeks is best. Did you have the bulls-eye mark at the site of the tick bite?

Actually, the doxycycline works wonders for me. My main symptoms involve a very, very stiff neck, but the doxycycline does the trick for me. Also, when you're in the woods try to use an insect spray with Deet.

I don't think I have any memory loss, but then it's all kind of vague...... :-)

Good luck.
