I, like you, have been watching the paint dry for years. And, I do feel that it's almost dry.
As to the climb to $16 plus, there was far less value than there is today. Frankly, Avid has way more value than this stock is worth, iMHO
Also, King and company dare not repeat the last premature news blast that sent the engines into overdrive. I think they'll run everything past everyone before they release any news that might move the stock one way or the other.
I've been here over 15 years, and do believe that with each parting moment, management learns something new about how this business gets done.
