It is usual to announce Quarterly Financials before the Open or After the Close of the Market. This approach will not affect the day's trading activity, like a release being dumped on the market in the middle of the day... I too, since the announcement release date/time has not been confirmed, will give them the full day to report. It will be tardy if not released by opening bell the 16th!
