I do not have an inside track. with that said, call the company or its investor contact person. While they will (can) not tell you any inside info, you can sense that they are working on something.
Again, no matter how excited the person may sound, you can only fool some of the people some of the time and not all the people all the time.
Formal pumps or just an overly excited IR person, it normally runs dry in a matter of a few weeks. After all, how excited can an IR person be if stock goes down down down? It beats on him and makes him feel stupid (or just a dumb liar).
