OK...you're short in one account. At what price are you short?
You get to arbitrarily decide the price when you feel the price has topped out?

Well you think you are clever, can't wait for your broker to issue you a FORCED BUY-In if the stock starts rocketing up, or if they no longer have shares because people are selling.

BOXED in strategies would only work if:

1, You are guaranteed NO BUY-INS, with IB you will, even NO BUY-IN brokers have a day limit of 3 days (ala Tim Sykes Special broker)
2, You did not have to pay a borrow rate for the stock.

During a dump, you will most likely NOT be able to sell your shares to lock in the profit, you may be forced to buy in on your SHORT on the way down and loose on that too.

Overall BOXED is no better than holding long or short, just pay more in fees and double the headache.
