it happens to so few though. and of course he got mercy on his 'first offense.' (or rather the first time he was caught, right?).
the punishment needs to outweigh the risk of doing the crime and it does not. therefore it continues.
how large did this 'scumbag' live and how much ill-gotten wealth has he been able to stow away thru his years of manipulation at the expense of everyday shareholders and investors?
a great question to ask at get-togethers is: how much jail time would you do for several million dollars? the answers can be interesting.
i know i would happily do the four years (and he's certainly to be paroled early anyway) at a most likely to be country-clubbish prison for the life-style this dude has been able to live and the jack he'll have waiting when for him he gets out.
that beats the near six figure loss i have in this company in over 14 years of being invested.
so, yes, in theory i would trade places with that 'scumbag.'
he's made out far better still.
