Definition of 'Revenue'

The amount of money that a company actually receives during a specific period, including discounts and deductions for returned merchandise. It is the "top line" or "gross income" figure from which costs are subtracted to determine net income.

Revenue is calculated by multiplying the price at which goods or services are sold by the number of units or amount sold.

The top line is Gross Income or Revenue.

BCCI had $1.5 million during the last twelve months.

It had somewhat more than $400K during the last reported quarter, which amount to a P/S of 8.5 TTM. That's more than 2.5 times the industry's top company and seven times the average for the industry. Nobody is going to pay that kind of money to buy this company or any other in the industry. Take the names out of the equation, and just give the numbers and no outfit is going to pay more than about one million for this company assuming that everything could be properly verified.
