Sadly, this is where the country finds itself currently, and the 49% can lose all their God-given rights on the whim of the one elected by the 51%:

In a pure democracy, 51% is higher than, and therefore owns, the 49%. In other words, the minority has no rights. The minority only has those privileges granted by the dictatorship of the majority.
