Of course, but not so fast to chalk it up. It doesn't look great, true, but it will trade again, and none here have a crystal ball, pro or con, mostly just snide catch phrases.

The stock has to be worthless to get the write off.
A loss can be gotten from a sale.

Worthlessness maybe a while in coming, or at least definitive proof of it(dissolution , etc ...).

Worthless does not mean worth less than you paid for it. It means no value ever.

NB: However for a small amount, you could try and likely no one will ever notice.
