#160173 RE: biomaven0 #160166

One of Cramer's rants recently....Finally there's Herbalife. What can I say that hasn't been said about Herbalife by the principal, Michael Johnson, and the antagonist, Bill Ackman? I will tell you what: If Johnson doesn't file a tortious interference action against Ackman, maybe he's just doing a whole lot of passionate talking and nothing more. Ackman's goal seems to be to expose Herbalife as a pyramid scheme, to warn people not to work for it. Given how recruiting potential salespeople is integral to the business, you can argue that Ackman is trying to take the business down with his comments. Johnson has got a study that shows that his company produces merchandise that is largely consumed by people who are outside his distribution network, and that means, per se, that Ackman is wrong, at least if you believe in the merits of the study.

But I am not discussing the merits of Ackman's arguments or Herbalife's counterarguments. I am simply saying that those who have asked me what level I would buy Herbalife don't get me. I am not going to go over the top and face a hail of Spandau machine gun bullets. Let someone else be a hero.

Gee....was he not doing the same thing to ARIA?

biomaven: "Idiots. AF is generally right a lot more than he is wrong. "

Couple of points:

1. "Idiots"??? Really? Is that a scientific term (after all BM. is a "scientist")????

2. If AF is "generally right a lot more than he is wrong" then the dissINFORMATION
he was spreading is even more heinous, since he knew he was damaging the
company and investors who were vulnerable.

This little ill mannered missive (fr. BM) certainly shows that this board has had way too high a regard
for the opinions of the "bio-value" board posters, like DD, and BM.
Nota Bene: "dissing" and disinformation are different. I don't know if what the
Cramer/AF/Flatus gang did is subject to legal redress, but it's certainly morally debased.

As an aside, I have always felt that the comments by the "scientists" was a lot less
valuable than the information provided by doug (and a few others) who share
with us the results of their research.

Much of what the "scientist" tell us is easily available from Ariad. I have never ever been
influenced by these "experts" and the little tidbits they throw over the wall, along with
snide remarks, make them (from my perspective) rather unpleasant.
