Wolfrun,

Just a thanks for signing up for the moderator position. You, like lowtrade aren't here to stroke your ego.
I've been reading this board since the beginning, still don't understand much but if I continue to put more quarters in the video I might get better! After a year of Stargate I could play for an hour on a quarter!

Also, thanks again lowtrade for taking the time to write your summary of the day. I got a feeling that you really got a kick out of the day trader going up against the big boys. Glad you got a smile out of that. And thanks for the links you posted to Yeni, I too need to understand more.

Caveat Emptor!

ItsJustMe, of course, stop losses go right along with TA. There has been alot of discussion on stoplosses here on the board with some pretty strong opinions. If you are unable to watch the days action and are worried about preserving capital, stop losses can be an effective tool. On the flip side, a stop loss shows up on the books, I have seen many times the tic go down and take out the stops only to run up considerably after that. Low has done alot of work on the retrace numbers and can perhaps shed some light on a target for you. I only use stop loss on the larger stocks I have when I have to travel and didnt plan on a long term investment with them.

ITSJUSTME-

The conventional thinking on stop loss is to set it at the 200dma, today around $2.80 or so.

HOWEVER, I would encourage you to follow the advice of others around here and avoid setting that as we've seen too many times the mm's tick the stock down to grab those orders. I used to set them myself, and have now stopped. 'Course, I'm watching this thing pretty regularly throughout the day and hope I could catch things early enough should a sell off suddenly occur. So be careful, it's still a bit of the wild west with our little GTE.

But if you must....take a peak at that 200 dma. Hope that helps,

-Will
