This is a completely realistic scenario. The company can announce new distributors and stores all day long, but unless the stuff sells well enough to warrant re-ordering, then not much is accomplished. The notion that every Walmart, every other store and distributor that takes on the product is automatically selling it like crazy is utter nonsense. There really isn't anything to support the claims that the relaxation category is expanding the way this company claims, no store around me has increased the amount of shelf space dedicated to relaxation drinks in any appreciable way in the 3+ years I have been paying attention to it, which certainly supports reports that the category is conspicuously underperforming.
All I can say is that folks really should look somewhere besides the company and its supporters for realistic info about the success of the products.
