Hello Jab,
I absolutely wish that the typical retail investor would do just as you said, take the time to educate themselves on the particulars of a new stock authorization request. I also wish that "political" voters would do the same prior an election - take the time to educate themselves on the issues and candidates as opposed to being influenced by the media's agenda...don't get me started on that one but i digress.
Seriously, I hear you loud and clear because ultimately self education = self preservation. Sadly, emotions, "loud" agenda driven media, impatience, and a shallow understanding of business often rule the day for many retail investors. My plea for Antares "education" may fall on deaf ears but I hold out hope.
I have already voted my shares - green lights given on all counts, earned trust and approval in all areas.
It's been a great weekend. Looking forward to a nice Saturday evening after celebrating a number of " spring" family birthdays this afternoon.
Perhaps someday we can do just as you stated - around a table discuss and debate, agree to disagree on certain issues and so forth. Then part smiling, still friends that trust and appreciate each other in spite of whatever differences we have. Sort of what happens when my family gets together...no black eyes to date :)
