I lived it - had a bunch shares at the time. It was a nice ride up but painful ride down. Luckily I bought it below $1.75, so not as painful for me as others. I doubt VRNG jumps as much as ATRS did at the time, but with a catalyst such as a settlement with MSFT or a ruling on the running royalty rate, a could from here is not out of the question.
