YB, chipguy seemed to be responding to your claim that Intel can't beat AMD on technical benchmarks. I consider SPEC to be *the* technical benchmark that scores of businesses look at to determine processor performance. Pentium 4 has had a long lead here, though maybe Athlon 64 will catch up. Right now, however, Athlon XP is far behind the Pentium 4. You are pretty adamant about overclocking being a consideration, but I disagree with that perspective. I respect your opinion, but I don't think we can get much farther on the topic of performance if we can't agree which processors should be compared.
