I challenge anyone to Google 'Antimony' for themselves and spend some time on all the information out there on it. It is an important modern day non-renewable natural resource, that is in danger of being mined out of existence. Most of it is mined in China, and most of the world's Antimony Reserves are in China. Best current predictions say there is only a 13 year reserve supply left for the entire planet(!). It has not even been mined on U.S. soil for the last decade. In reading below of the various modern uses, one can understand why even the U.S. military is currently stockpiling Antimony:
Uses of Antimony
As a minor metal, the strategic metal antimony has many diversified and indispensable uses. The most important uses of antimony include the following:
Flame retardant in children's clothes, toys, soft furniture, plastics (including soft drink bottles), aircraft and automobile covers and plastics for the construction industry. In car batteries to extend battery life Enhance the production process efficiency for PEt plastic containers. Antimony is used in ammunition, fireworks, pharmaceuticals, pesticides and the new EU-mandated fluorescent light bulbs.
...and recently a new use for Antimony was discovered. A big breakthrough in computing speeds, pointing to the next generation of computer memory...with speeds up to 1Gig faster then current computers - please see graph below:
But this is no longer a 'what -if'. Samsung in 2010 began using Antimony in many of its products...:
"A significant new use for antimony is the development of a new generation of memory devices which will replace flash drive memory devices presently used in computers, mobile phones and USB memory devices. These new memory devices - known as phase-change devices - use an alloy of germanium, antimony and tellurium (Ge 2Sb2te5) known as "GSt". in June 2010, Samsung Electronics started mass-producing these phase-change devices from GSt for use in mobile phones and laptops. these devices are up to 30 times faster than normal flash memory."
...and for those interested, here is Samsung's Antimony-related Patent:
"Antimony precursor, phase-change memory device using the antimony precursor, and method of manufacturing the phase-change memory device US 20060049447 A1 ABSTRACT An antimony precursor including antimony, nitrogen and silicon, a phase-change memory device using the same, and a method of making the phase-change memory device. The phase-change memory device may have a phase-change film of a Ge2—Sb2—Te5 material including nitrogen and silicon."
Looking around the web, I find an 8 to 13 year worldwide reserve supplies left for Antimony. Check out this graph done by another intermational Antimony mining company. They are using BBC and USGS to come up with only 8 years left. I see some estimates at 13 ... some at 8 ....either way this is, forgive the hyperbole, a huge deal for ANY mining company on ANY stock exchange. For this to be a penny stock, and still a sub-penny stock is I think very good for us buying now:
"Declining Supply
The BBC recently produced the following info-graphic on estimated reserves of non-renewable resources, below, using data from various sources, including the US Geological Survey. It is estimates that there are only 8 years worth of antimony reserves, based on current reserves."
... To sell under a penny to me is not thinking outside the penny chart play world. FLPC should gain more interest from many inside and outside the penny world - especially big Board mining stock investors who dont need to be reminded how big a deal it is to mine Antimony in America again.
SO with todays non-dilutive financing announced, and that FLPC has enough now to commence mining : THIS WILL BE AMERICA'S ONLY PRODUCING ANTIMONY MINE....hasnt been mined in our country in 10 years. From today's PR:
First Liberty Power Project Funding Announcement
First Liberty Power Corp. (QB) (USOTC:FLPC) Intraday Stock Chart
Today : Wednesday 17 April 2013
LAS VEGAS, April 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- First Liberty Power Corp. (OTCQB: FLPC), an innovative and diversified mine exploration and development company focused on bringing to market "Mined in America" strategic industrial minerals, is pleased to announce it has obtained a commitment for $500,000 in funding, which will provide the impetus needed to achieve the short term goal of initial mining operations on the Fencemaker Antimony Property.
This funding will allow the company to commence the additional steps required for safe and appropriate access for long-term mining operations, as well as to achieve initial mine production. CEO Don Nicholson commented, "We are very pleased to be acquiring this non-dilutive funding and we are now planning the definitive implementation timeline for the procedures that will follow the water removal from the mine. Closing of this transaction and first cash provisioning is expected next week. We will provide additional details at that time under our Pathways of Progress program, together with ongoing operational updates."
First Liberty Power's partner in this finance is Chicago Venture Partners, who provided a statement in regards to this financing, "We at Chicago Venture Partners, after observing the positive progress made by First Liberty Power in recent months, are very pleased to have the opportunity to help the Company move forward in these next stages towards initial production on the Antimony project. It is difficult, and quite uncommon, for an exploration stage company to make the transition from development to production, and we are very excited to be a part of the process with First Liberty."
Furthermore, from the United States Geology Survey - click on the various tabs last 20 years to see for yourself this lack of U.S. Antimony production, which also compares us to other countries:
So to me, FLPC is THE penny stock mining company to buy. China has most of worlds supply and mines most of the worlds Antimony. FLPC then becomes not only a scarce resource mining play - but even one of National Security...:
Mining News: Pentagon orders an about-face on REEs
Department of Defense reverses its public stance on rare earths, recommends building a US$130M stockpile of the strategic minerals
March 31st, 2013:
"The list of non-rare earth materials deemed in short enough supply to warrant stockpiling include antimony, bismuth, gallium and tantalum."
Yes, I feel comfortable buying FLPC sub-penny...and I think soon enough below .02 cents. IF the U.S. Military is stockpiling Antimony, and even Warren Buffet is buying rare natural modern resources like tungsten over gold (which has a similar limited worldwide supply mostly controlled by China, and many modern uses -- like Antimony):
