That report is for short volume, not short interest. Those are trades that weren't settled by the end of the day.

Can you tell me why would anyone short this stock?

It's a common but futile ploy to blame-shift responsibility for why the pps is in the tank on these subber pinks. If it's not the shorts, it's the evil MMs. If it's not the evil MMs, it's the stupid flippers. Or all three.

Any straw man will do. Never a negative word as to the real culprit--the owners/operators of these shells who dilute the pps to nothing for their own personal gain at the expense of the commoners.
