True. But where are all the diabetes/medical supply stores getting them from?
Since you can buy just the meter(without the strips) brand new from several diabetes/medical supply stores on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk, I find it very difficult to believe JnJ(or their distributor) are supplying these meters to them for free, so the supplier can sell and keep the revs.
If JnJ's intention is to give a free meter to someone who needs it, and the suppliers are selling them on their own...that sounds like a lawsuit to me.
If it was a "combo pack" with some strips included, you could argue the strips were sold and the meter was included free.
