This is proof that performance is being underrepresented.

So you ARE trying to convince us that Intel is just too damned lazy to actually TRY for higher peak scores...

As if they had no expertise in selecting optimization flags that would benefit peak scores...

As if that wouldn't help marketing their products...

As if outside parties are beholden to Intel and their marketing whims when testing their own systems and are unable to optimize their own systems...


I find that line of thought very difficult to believe.

All they would have to do is try some variation of the flags AMD uses for ICC... The dudes in the Blue Man Group could even do it.

Far, far easier to believe is that ICC is applying the full suite of optimizations automatically.
