With all due respect, the idea that people who bought cheap PPLs are selling at 7 or 8 cents is ludicrous to me. I know who a few of those people are (I'm not one of them), and trust me, they all are very long on MZEI, and had no intention of selling until the price is much much higher.

Why would they sell at 7 when they could have sold a few months ago for .15? Just makes no sense.

IMHO, some of the volume could be frustration-related, people who were holding on for some BIG news, and expecting to sell on the spike. When big news came and the hoped-for spike didn't materialize, they lost hope and figured that there's no more reason to tie their money up any longer.

One more thing: While it looks like there are many more sells than buys, past experience has shown that it's not necessarily so. I've had this happen to me, and others have reported the same: I'll place an order to buy at the ask, and get filled at the bid, or close to it. While I'm always happy at the bargain, what it means is that it's worth the MM's while to create the impression of a sell-off, to shake loose more shares, and be able to sell at a higher price later on.

Now I'm NOT claiming some MM conspiracy against MZEI. This has nothing at all to do with any specific stock. This is just how these guys do business with every penny stock.

My point is that when they sense a nervous market, they will take advantage of it. Bottom line is, there may be more buyers out there now than it appears, but the price doesn't go up because they're giving shares at the bid, which serves the MMs' purposes.

I'm offering this as an amateur's theory, and will gladly defer to more seasoned opinions.
