Yes,V, nobody disagrees with you that the pre and post-split values are the same, it really is 6 to 1, half dozen to another. But, where I think viewpoints differ is that considering, post split, a $.05 increase on 10K shares is much less than a $.05 increase on 200K shares, regardless of whether the PPS is a $1.00 or $10.00.
The respective post split $ increase relative to shares held is much less, which I think scares some people away from that idea. Although, if selling VP/Digi/Patents is the goal, then split or not, there's no difference. % of ownership is the same, pre or post split.
In favor of your point though, I believe Priceline did something similar during the "dot.bomb" time of 2001, think they did a 1:16 reverse split and look where they are today, over $600 PPS.
