You have to say no once in a while. I was told by a temp DM that I was doing an event on St Patrick's Day weekend. I already had a bunch of large groups scheduled for the day and the majority were both requests for me and consistent buyers. Plus I only had one staff who wasn't available anyway ( not to mention she was just not good with sales). You had to hear the dead silence after she went on about what I was expected to do (barely a week before this event) and I said NO I am not doing it. Don't think she knew what to say. Another studio had done an event and put their own money into buying candy and brought all these props from home to make the event successful. And for what, no thank you or acknowledgement for a job well done, just disappointment that they came in second as a district. Ugh! That stuff I will not miss.
