Hi Yip,

The little that I know about these kits is that they are used to collect human DNA samples from the mouth. These are used to compile individual DNA records(banks), for potential bone marrow doners.

I have used these kits in the past for a similar purpose.

Hope I am right about this.

Shail is right, except all military personnel has DNA on record now to match remains. Can also be used for bone marrow and other organ matching.
