Yes, that part of the story is not yet built into the price. Their Lab producing designed drugs for specific mutations can change cancer treatment and save the US healthcare system many billions of dollars, not to mention the lives saved.
I'm sure Ariad is not the only company with this approach, but certainly they are one of the best.
