I am not so worried about the length of the pipeline, contractors lay these pipes very quickly. Getting planning approval and access to the route is fundamental - but if there is a shortage of gas and this is politicaly sensitive then approvals can also be very fast.
From previous postings and what CHAG has posted on the Yahoo site today I think you can assume that the adjoining properties will be acquired. At least one they previously rejected from an oil perspective, but with a pipeline in the offing????
