Do we know enough about genetically modified foods to say with certainty there will be no side effects on humans?
It's no mystery why the U.S. gov't did not share their Viet Nam "agent orange" program with the public until they were forced to do so - sure it killed crops, but it also had side effects on humans exposed to the chemicals.

Interesting article in today's Wash Post by Dana Milbank, THE MOTTO FOR THIS PROTEST - SOUPS ON!...
Milbank set about to cover the demonstration planned for yesterday in front of the FDA's facility in College Park, MD...Anti-GMO (genetically modified organisims) demonstrators came from as far away as Boston and took a page out of other effective peaceful demonstrations - they held an "eat-in at the FDA" and cooked a 50 gallon vat of soup on the sidewalk "and then consumed the stuff".
Anti-GMO groups call for labeling foods that contain GMO.
