And the sequester cuts will start to have an impact at the end of April unless there is an alternate agreement in Washington (but I would not hold my breath for that).

I agree...

I find our gov't, the Fed, and their actions as completely egotistical and idiotic.

Yes, you can create a growth environment... but you cannot create growth with intervention, like the EPA - if the middle class is getting poorer, if fear is increasing, consumer confidence is weak, if they already have many, many luxuries, if labor productivity is already maxed, if the gov't is stepping on small businesses, increasing health care costs, etc...

A gov't cannot "create a need" and demand the masses to consume that need - especially on a global scale.

Japan is fokked - Europe just continues to spiral downward - China and India will not bail us out...

Plenty of optimists saying the S&P P/E ratio is not "out of line"... well, with 3 out of 5 companies lowering guidance and more doing it all the time - the E in the P/E is what will change that ratio.

You cannot control the ocean and the tides - you cannot prevent a glacier from melting.

So Ben is spending 85 billion a month to make a pretty picture for businesses, but if the masses can live without the businesses product, then it just won't "magically happen".

85 billion... The Dallas Cowboys new stadium cost 1.2 billion. Ben would be able to put one of those new stadiums in every capital city EVERY MONTH. He would be able to build a biofuel algae plant next to every waste water treatment plant pretty quickly - fix every road and/or bridge easily...

This gov't has a game plan which will not work.
