#24382 RE: stardugbug #24380

There are hundreds of them, mostly in the South. I don't care for the place. But the issue here is comparing these places to BCCI. One Bruster's is worth more than all of the BCCIs put together. But they are not kiosks, which was the original point. They are in actual buildings, and most are franchises, and I suspect that there is a lot of turn over in ownership of those franchises. Most franchises don't work. The franchisers make their money from the franchisees. BCCI looks like one of the worse possible deals one can ever made. Franchisees regularly sell their businesses and franchisers, for the most part are OK with it because they make their money from the fees. More than half of the BCCI locations came into being a the purchase of a business that was going under. The prior owners were ready to get rid of the places, almost at any cost. Henthorn is making money from selling shares into the market directly or indirectly. Just look at the financials. He admits giving away tens of millions of shares for services rendered, mostly at $0.001. There is no other way for this money sucking machine to stay afloat.
