Part of Greek mythology, yes. Hero, no. Paris, son of Priam King of Troy, was chosen by the gods to judge the beauty contest between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite, I think. Aphrodite bribed him with a promise of the hand of Helen, the face that launched a thousand ships. Paris' treachery started the Trojan war.
Isn't Paris one of the Greek heros as well? There is also supposed to be something called Athens as well, so there may be some Greek theme in naming of these chips.
AMD's Eros line should sell very well. There was an Olympian for all AMD's name needs for the next twenty years :) !
